IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BUYERS OF A GREENWOOD PUPPY:
Deposit policy:
We usualy begin taking deposits on litters 2-3 weeks before they are whelped.
Please be sure that we are accepting deposits on the litter of your choice before sending in your deposit.
A $50 deposit will hold a puppy for you.
Deposits are taken on a specific color and sex of puppy.
If your choice of color or sex of puppy is not available from the litter, you have your option of
:
* a full refund of your deposit,
* moving your deposit to an available puppy from the litter,
* or transferring your deposit to an up coming litter.
Puppies are chosen in the order that deposits are received.
We reserve the right to choose puppies from the litter before filling deposits. (This option may
also include puppies that are chosen to be co-owned with other breeders)
We understand that family and financial situations can change. Therefore, any deposit will be refunded
in full, upon request, up until the puppies age of 6-7 weeks.
At that age the puppies will have a complete physical exam, by a licensed veterinarian. A full refund
of deposit may be requested for any puppy which is found to have any medical problem, during this exam. Request for refund
must be made within 2 days of a buyers notification of the results of the exam.
All deposits will be considered non-refundable 48 hours after the buyers notification of the results.
Final choice of puppies will be made at the age of eight weeks. We request that choices are made in a
timely manner. If a buyer has the first choice of any particular color and sex of puppy, we request that they plan on picking
their puppy as closely as possible to the puppies eight week birthday. Others will be waiting to make their choices.
If we are asked to hold any puppy beyond the date that it is available for pick up, a fee of $15 per day
and reimbursement for any medical expanses may be requested.
Registration policy:
All puppies sold with the intent of breeding are sold with a breeding agreement.
All puppies sold as pets will be registered with an AKC "limited" registration.
A limited registration simply means that they are not intended as breeding dogs. Any puppies produced
by them would not be eligible for AKC registration. If a puppy buyer purchases a puppy as a pet and then decides that they
would like to breed, the limited registration is reversible. Before we will reverse a limited registration on a pet puppy,
the puppy must reach the age of 2 years. We will then determine if the Labrador is a breeding prospect
by means of conformation, health and temperament. It must also pass an OFA hip clearance of excellent or good, an OFA elbow
clearance and have a current CERF eye clearance. An individual breeding agreement will be drawn up before a full registration
is issued.
Guarantee Policy:
All puppies will come with:
* a written health certificate, from a licensed veterinarian.
* a written general health guarantee from Greenwood Labradors, which covers the puppy for any
health problem, found by your veterinarian during it's first exam and a 2 year guarantee on
hip dysplasia.
Additional health guarantees are provided for puppies intended for breeding.

When a litter of interest is posted, please contact us. We will also post on our web site and Facebook,
